ZetaChain 2.0 Has Arrived — Welcome to the New Era of Cross-Chain

Released on Jul 16th

ZetaChain just made a massive leap forward with the launch of version 2.0 — and ECOIN Wallet is already fully live and integrated.

The biggest shift? The legacy TSS-based architecture is gone. In its place, the brand-new ZetaChain Gateway now powers the network with full support for the powerful onCall method — bringing better scalability, stronger security, and true multichain capabilities.

Why does it matter?

Because this changes everything for cross-chain transactions.

The new Gateway infrastructure takes ZetaChain beyond just bridging — it turns the network into a core layer for cross-chain logic.

This enables:

  • Native cross-chain smart contract calls via onCall
  • Greater scalability for handling more users and assets
  • Stronger security by eliminating the limitations of TSS
  • Intelligent revert handling — if a cross-chain fails, your funds automatically return to your wallet. No support tickets. No lost gas. Just trustless safety, by design.

In short: we’re no longer talking about “cross-chain support” — we’re talking about native interoperability between blockchains.

Solana Just Joined — And It’s Fully Cross-Chain

In ECOIN Wallet v1.7.1, we added native Solana support — but it was still isolated from the cross-chain ecosystem. That changes now.

Solana (SOL) is now fully integrated into ZetaChain’s cross-chain engine — unlocking a new level of interoperability.

You can now:

  • 🔄Swap SOL to BTC, ETH, BNB, POL, BASE, ZETA, and more
  • 🔄Swap ETH, BASE, POL, BNB, ZETA to SOL
  • 🟣 No setup. No manual RPCs. Just tap and go — inside ECOIN Wallet.

🚫 The only pending pair is BTC → SOL, which is already in development and dropping soon. SOL → BTC works.

More Chains, More Possibilities

The new Gateway architecture makes adding new chains faster, safer, and simpler than ever. Networks like TON, Sui, Arbitrum, and others are already within reach.

The First Wallet with Full ZetaChain Integration

All of this is already live inside ECOIN Wallet, the only wallet with full native ZetaChain integration. Other wallets might “support” ZetaChain network — but ECOIN goes far beyond that:

  • Direct integration with the ZetaChain protocol — no need to configure anything manually.
  • Built-in Swap with full cross-chain support.
  • A seamless UI built for real cross-chain usage: smart network selection, dynamic gas fee handling, token history, security checks, and more
  • Transparent UX — including full visibility into fees, withdraw fees, and each step of the transaction
  • Real-time push notifications for CCTX status and updates
  • Full support for onCall and native DApp compatibility

Even better: ECOIN Wallet is available on both Mainnet and Testnet, so you can test swaps and cross-chain transfers safely, with zero risk.

And there’s more — if you install ECOIN Wallet through the official ZetaChain link, you’ll unlock a customized experience, including:

  • ZetaChain enabled by default
  • Featured Zeta DApps directly listed
  • A unique Welcome Modal tailored for ZetaChain users
  • And a custom interface that reflects the power of native multichain
